It just so happened that the day we arrived in Austin the defending National champions are hosting the #1 ranked college football team, the Ohio Buckeyes. When I realized this, I tried my best to score a pair of tickets on ebay for under $400 but it was not happening. These hot tickets were selling for over a thousand for a pair.

We headed over to the stadium anyway and watched the first quarter at a campus pizza joint. We walked back and the scalpers we selling the last of the tickets for $360 each. I kept my cash, bought some shirts and a hat and watched the second half from our hotel bed as the Longhorn’s new 19 year old QB crapped in his pants.

Austin is an awesome city and being on vacation is so nice. This afternoon we went to a bridge and watched over a million bats fly out at dusk. Seriously.
