In a music giving mood

I love live music and especially the bands that allow recordings to be made of their live shows. Sites like etree.org are great places to find legit recordings of live music in lossless formats. Below are a few nuggets I’ve recently found. Enjoy.

The Heart Of Life (solo), John Mayer (.m4a 7.8 MB):His album doesn’t drop until Sept. 12th and this is already one of my favorite songs. Recorded in April live at Hotel Cafe in West Hollywood. An intimate show previewing “Continuum” material.

I Need You Back, Ben Kweller (.m4a 5 MB): Ben Kweller, Recorder in ‘04, Ben is a folksy guy that can really rock - I love this live version… “HEY!”

By The Skin Of My Yellow Country Teeth, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah (.mp3 8.9 MB): One of my favorite bands this year. Lead Singer Alec Ounsworth’s voice reminds me of David Byrne. I’m hoping to catch them in Austin while I’m there next month.
